Previewing the Unified Dataset

A preview of the unified dataset is available only if you have previously profiled the input datasets.

Interacting with Preview

In schema mapping projects, the dataset preview allows you to see what effect new mappings and transformations will have on the unified dataset. On the Unified Dataset page, choose **View preview" to display a small subset of the dataset with all updates applied to it.

The preview page refreshs each time you refresh the page, and does not require committing changes to the entire unified dataset.

If records look as you expected, return to the Schema Mapping page to commit changes you made to the unified dataset. To undo transformations, delete them and recommit.

In the previous example, the unified dataset has close to 80,000 records, but the sample shown in the preview is only 512. This allows Tamr to update quickly and show you the preview.

Filtering by Dataset

You can choose from which dataset you would like to preview records.

To filter which records to preview:

1. Select the icon in the upper left corner with three horizontal bars to select which datasets to include in the preview.
2. Use the checkboxes to select datasets.
3. Choose Apply when done.
