Creating a User
Create a new (internally managed) user account in Tamr.
Username and Password Requirements
Usernames must not be blank or null and cannot exceed 255 characters.
The password you provide when creating a user or updating a user's credentials must have a minimum of eight (8) and a maximum of sixty four (64) characters. The non-admin user credentials validation in Tamr fails if this requirement is not met.
Note: Tamr applies these password validation requirements only to non-admin user credentials that Tamr administrators create or update directly in Tamr. They do not affect passwords arriving from LDAP/SAML systems. LDAP/SAML may impose their own password requirements.
The non-admin user passwords must meet the following requirements:
- Have a minimum of eight (8) characters (inclusive)
- Have a maximum of sixty four (64) characters (inclusive)
Passwords may include any ASCII and Unicode characters, such as numbers, letters, an underscore, a star, or other such characters.
To create a user:
- In the top-right corner, select Users and Groups and then choose Create new user.
- In the dialog box that opens, fill in values for the required fields Username and Password.
- Optionally, fill in values for First, Last and Email.
- Select Create user.
As a Tamr administrator, you can subsequently assign Curator or Reviewer roles in each project to users created as non-Admin.
