Notice for Ubuntu Users

If you are running Tamr Core on the Ubuntu OS, Tamr recommends using Ubuntu 22.04 with Tamr Core v2023.001 and later.

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS End of Standard Support per June 2023

OS Ubuntu version 18.04 LTS reached End of Standard Support in June 2023, which means Canonical (publisher of Ubuntu) will no longer provide security updates at no cost. Tamr recommends that you upgrade your OS to a more recent and supported version. For more information, see Time to prepare for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS End of Standard Support on 31 May 2023.

Upgrade OS and Tamr Core version and subscribe to expanded support

If you are running Tamr Core on a server with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, take the following two actions:

  1. Upgrade to the latest version of Tamr Core, and move to a VM running on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
  2. Until item 1 is implemented, Tamr recommends subscribing to enhanced support from Canonical so that OS level security updates continue on 18.04 LTS.
